Note: On Thursday, June 16th from 2:00pm - 3:30pm EST, the Prairielands Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) will host this training on "A Provider's Introduction to Substance Abuse Treatment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Individuals, First Edition." Participants will gain an increased familiarity with the issues and barriers faced by LGBT persons in need of substance use disorder-related services. Knowledge about the interaction between LGBT issues and substance use and abuse will enhance professional abilities to offer sensitive, affirmative, culturally relevant, and effective addiction services to LGBT clients.
