The AETC Program's new resource combines the most up-to-date, HIV screening, prevention, and care resources in one mobile app, to provide access to essential point-of-care information and expert clinical support with just one touch.
HIV Care Tools is for busy clinicians from novice-to-expert, clinic staff & team members, pharmacists, and health profession students, residents & fellows. It can be used in a range of clinical settings including emergency departments, primary care, and STD & reproductive health clinics. The app is efficient, easy to use, free to download, and available for Apple and Android devices.
A trusted source for expert content, the app includes carefully curated reference materials, tools, and resources created by the AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program and other federally funded programs. Developed by the AETC National Coordinating Resource Center (NCRC) with Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative funding, its content supports the initiative’s four pillars: diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and responding quickly to outbreaks. No WIFI? No problem! The app was designed with clinicians caring for people with or at risk for HIV anywhere in the United States (U.S.) and its territories in mind. After the initial download, its content can be retrieved on or offline. This means providers in rural and remote areas have the same easy access to the app’s information as providers in large cities and suburban towns.
