The National Quality Center Highlights Innovative Tools as it Celebrates its 10-Year Anniversary

In order to curtail new HIV infections and better reach—and engage—people living with HIV into care, providers have to evolve in the way that they do business. Performance measures are important indicators in ensuring effective provider practices and high-quality HIV care.
For the last 10 years the National Quality Center (NQC) has provided technical assistance to support Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program grantees by creating innovative services to meet their unique needs. NQC’s goal is to improve the quality of HIV care nationwide, and more than 88% of Ryan White grantees have utilized at least one of NQC’s key quality improvement service.
By supporting shared lessons learned and Cross-Part collaboratives, NQC works to connect Ryan White grantees with one another so that, together, we can maximize best practices and create a more robust community of learners.
NQC has helped facilitate improvements in HIV care in a number of activities and tools including our in+care Campaign. The Campaign focused on retention in care and engaged 687 Ryan White providers. It went on to become the largest HIV quality improvement campaign in the country focusing on retention and led to a prolific addition to our already robust technical assistance online resource library.
To commemorate our 10-year anniversary we have rebooted our homepage to create better access to NQC quality improvement tools, launched an interactive timeline, and created a testimonial feature for the Ryan White community to voice their thoughts.
If you’re a Ryan White grantee or provider and you’ve utilized, or referred others to utilize NQC tools, services, consultations, or other events or services, we want to hear from you! And if you haven’t been to our website or visited our library containing hundreds of quality improvement tools, then please come visit.
We’ve built a strong foundation as a community over these last 10 years and it’s together that we’ll build a brighter future for tomorrow. So what are you waiting for? Join the movement. Join NQC.
