13th Annual HIV in West Virginia

This 13th annual Ryan White grantees conference intends to inform health care professionals on issues relative to the Primary Care of HIV infected persons and those persons who are at risk for acquiring HIV in West Virginia. The conference offers a dynamic course agenda with expert faculty, speaking on clinically and socially relevant issues of HIV. This conference also offers WV healthcare professionals the opportunity to link with other agencies across the state in order to enhance the provision of primary health care for those living with HIV and to step up improved patient outcomes for the HIV positive individual.

The fee for this program is $45.00. Your registration will not be complete until payment is received at least one week prior to the event. 

A variety of the listed topics will be discussed:

  • Harm Reduction/Safe Injection
  • Antiretroviral treatment adherence, including viral load
  • HIV diagnosis (i.e. HIV testing)
  • Linkage to Care
  • Primary care screening
  • Adult learning principles
  • Community linkages
  • Coordination of care
  • Funding or resource allocation
  • Team-based care (i.e. interprofessional training)
