The National Latinx Conference on HIV/HCV/SUD provides an opportunity to share information and efforts around health disparities that negatively impact the Latinx population such as HIV, hepatitis C, and substance use disorder, by bridging the varied disciplines of education, advocacy, and clinical care to create better health outcomes for the Latinx population.
- Increase knowledge, communication and respectful attitudes regarding HIV, HCV and SUD among Latinx communities
- Discuss the cultural and social barriers faced by Latinx individuals inseeking/receiving treatment, care, and prevention for HIV, HCV andSUD
- Recognize the impact of HIV, HCV and SUD among Latinx communities when compared to other national populations
- Identify culturally tailored medical practices and interventions to Latinx patients and populations in order to provide better health
