This year’s event is for health care professionals throughout West Virginia with
an interest in HIV treatment or prevention. The priority focus will be on
implementing changes in practice to positively impact our state and surrounding
areas.
Objectives
- Discuss the latest national and state-level HIV statistics and explore their
potential impact on the population. - Examine the current HIV guidelines, ongoing research, and literature that can
inform and shape clinical practice. - Identify effective strategies and interventions designed to reduce the
transmission of HIV and consider the specific challenges faced when
implementing HIV prevention measures in rural communities. - Describe practical approaches to enhance the treatment of individuals living
with HIV and those at risk, considering how to improve patient care capacity
based on updated guidelines and key clinical factors.
