Training program focusing on the variety of roles for allied health professionals and peers who provide services for people with lived experiences across the behavioral health continuum of care.

Learning Objectives:
  • Attendees will learn how Peer Recovery Specialists build bridges between providers and clients to promote and model recovery.
  • Attendees will learn the clients approach to relapse prevention based on an understanding the neuroscience of desire and how habits are formed.
  • Attendees will be able to understand the role of Peer Recovery Specialists in the recovery continuum and support retention in care if HIV positive as well as promoting prevention of HIV
