In order to effectively End the HIV Epidemic in the United States, providers who care for people with or at-risk for HIV need to be equipped to effectively identify and treat opioid use disorder. This presentation will provide practical guidance on the use of medications for opioid use disorder.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the initial assessment of an individual seeking treatment for opioid use disorder.
  • Be able to perform MOUD initiation.
  • Understand the components of treatment monitoring.
