Program 5 of Midwest AETC's six-session HIV Intensive Nursing Review Virtual Series
This series is an intensive review for nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in HIV care. The course is designed to offer a comprehensive review of HIV-related information and to be interactive, to allow attendees to share ideas, information, and experiences, and will be held virtually - both live on Zoom and through pre-recorded lectures. CEUs are available.
Attendance at all sessions is encouraged, but if one or more do not work for your schedule, we welcome you to register for those you can attend.

Clinical Manifestations of HIV/AIDS and Opportunistic Infections Learning Objectives:
- Describe tools for the clinical management of HIV and tests for monitoring and analyzing HIV resistance.
- List oral, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and other categories of Opportunities Infections.
- Discuss AIDS-defining conditions: manifestations, diagnosis, prevention and treatment, and nursing interventions such as labs, dosing, and medications.
- Discuss treatments for Opportunistic Infections and considerations for prescribing these medications.
