COVID-19 Update: Additional Vaccine Doses and People with HIV

In August 2021 the FDA authorized additional vaccine doses for certain immunocompromised individuals, to bolster protection against the coronavirus. This webinar will explore third doses and boosters, with a focus on people with HIV.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Describe the reasons for the inclusion of a third COVID-19 vaccination for people with advanced or untreated HIV disease.
  • Review strengths and limitations of current antibody and cellular measures of vaccine effectiveness.
  • Describe approaches to patient education about these changes.
  • Recite the evidence in support of a third COVID-19 vaccine booster for all individuals
