HIV & Depression: Screening, Interventions, and Impact on Care Continuum

Program learning objectives include:

• Discussing comprehensive assessment of people with HIV who present with depression.
• Discussing how depression impacts the HIV care continuum.
• Describing screening tools used to identify depression.
• Identifying interventions to reduce depression among newly diagnosed people with HIV.
• Listing several resources available to providers and patients to help overcome depression in this population.
