NMAC Biomedical Prevention Summit Scholarship: Deadline August 4, 2017

Biomedical HIV Prevention Summit

NMAC’s Biomedical Prevention Summit will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 4-5, 2017. The Summit is the only gathering in the United States that brings together prevention activists, HIV researchers, service providers, care professionals, policy makers, PrEP navigators, and representatives from the communities most affected by HIV.

Scholarships will be offered. The deadline to submit scholarship applications is August 4, 2017NMAC will prioritize applications from health and PrEP navigators in community based organizations that are currently establishing their biomedical prevention programs. Geographic diversity is an important factor in the decision making process and will emphasize a special focus on the South and regions where HIV disproportionately affects people of color.
 
There are two categories of scholarships:

  • Scholarship A: Registration only
  • Scholarship B: Registration, two nights of hotel, and a coach ticket to New Orleans

If awarded, Scholarship B recipients will be required to book their travel with NMAC’s travel agent at least 45 days prior to the event.

The Summit will purchase coach class tickets via air, train or bus. Scholarship recipients must live at least 50 miles outside of the City of New Orleans in order to be eligible for a travel scholarship.
