PrEP Bootcamp: The Science of HIV Prevention

This training will review the science behind various HIV prevention strategies such as Treatment as Prevention (TasP), post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), condoms and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), discuss using and prescribing PrEP in the “real world” and facilitate participants through an interactive module to enhance learning principles.
- Describe the science behind the following HIV prevention strategies: Treatment as Prevention (TasP), Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), Condoms, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
- Discuss PrEP in the real world, community roll-out, sexual behavior, and other STIs, safety monitoring and navigation
- Participate in an interactive PrEP Bootcamp to solidify learning, practice language for answering patient questions
