Youth and HIV

This session will discuss the root causes that put young people at risk of new HIV infections and how to avoid poor health outcomes.

Objectives: 

• Describe the epidemiology of HIV in youth
• Highlight the many challenges this population poses
• Develop approach to HIV testing in this population
• When test is positive, provide appropriate counselling and follow-up care arrangements
