Kathleen Cullinen, PhD, MS, RDN

Kathleen Cullinen, PhD, MS, RDN, is the Program Evaluator of the AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) National Coordinating Resource Center (NCRC). Kathleen has a BS in Biochemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). She also has an MS and PhD in Human Nutrition from the University of Rhode Island, and is a Registered Dietitian.

Kathleen has worked in public health programs related to chronic and communicable disease prevention across public, business, and non-profit settings for more than 25 years. She has dedicated most of her career to public health program development, implementation, and evaluation. For the past seven years Kathleen has served in national leadership roles. They were related to the evaluation of policy, system, and environmental interventions to prevent obesity and related chronic diseases in vulnerable populations participating in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

Kathleen is responsible for developing a national evaluation framework to demonstrate the collective impact of the interprofessional training, technical assistance, and capacity building initiatives of the AETC NCRC. The AETC NCRC initiatives aim to assist other AETC Program trainers and coaches. As well as healthcare providers to achieve improved outcomes across the HIV Care Continuum. Thereby contributing to reduced HIV incidence, morbidity and mortality.
