Federal Training Centers Collaboration Meeting - 2010

The 2010 meeting of the FTCC, held in Kansas City, Missouri, had a theme of: Strategies for Developing the Workforce That Serves At-Risk Populations.

The goals were to:

  • Maximize Federal resources and respond effectively to the training and development needs of the healthcare workforce that serve at-risk minority populations and others affected by diseases and conditions targeted by TCs
  • Provide opportunities for participants to exchange knowledge, skills and best practices using adult learning theories and training techniques as well as other strategies to promote workforce excellence
  • Demonstrate and model a range of innovative teaching and learning strategies that participants may apply in their training center activities
  • Identify areas of commonality and discuss plans for regional collaborations among the TCs over the next two-year period
