The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically altered the way federally-funded training centers conduct training. Training centers were forced to redesign classroom courses for virtual delivery and increase the number of distance learning events to meet the demands of the new virtual world. Trainers from across the FTCC participated in a 2-part virtual learning series (recorded February 17 & March 17, 2021) to discuss engagement strategies and tools, promising practices, barriers, and their overall experiences since fully transitioning to virtual classrooms. Topics include addressing virtual burnout, preparing speakers for online presentations, conducting virtual preceptorships, promising practices for production & facilitation, and more. The purpose of this series is to improve and enhance the execution, facilitation, and evaluation of virtual programming. Links to some of the tools and materials shared are available below. Visit our FTCC web page for more detailed information about the federal training centers.
