This video provides a beginner-level overview of public and private health insurance options available to people with HIV, as well as eligibility and application changes due to COVID-19, for frontline healthcare/benefits workers. Much of the private insurance piece is focused on California, but the public options can apply to the rest of the United States.
Objectives:
- Describe two ways that people obtain health insurance
- Describe two cost-savings programs available to People With HIV (PWH)
- Explain how to triage common benefits problems to resolution
