When the COVID-19 pandemic reached San Francisco, the HIV workforce was uniquely skilled to respond. In this session, Dr. Jessica Bloome and Thomas Knoble, MSW, discuss their experiences in San Francisco engaging the HIV workforce for an equity-centered response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They provide an overview of developing strategic partnerships and training programs for HIV frontline workers in community-based Case Investigation and Contact Tracing, and discuss how these partnerships may be leveraged in future HIV testing and prevention efforts.
