Interactive web-based tutorial providing an in-depth overview of the 2006 CDC recommendations for routine HIV screening in health care settings. The following topics are reviewed and discussed in this program: HIV epidemiology in the U.S. Definitions related to HIV screening and testing Rationale for routine HIV screening The 2006 CDC recommendations Potential barriers to routine HIV screening Diagnostic tests, and counseling and linking to care Each section of the tutorial is supplemented with an interactive self-assessment and references (with links).
