Chronic non-cancer pain is prevalent among people with HIV disease. HIV practitioners have an important role in appropriately assessing and managing pain in these patients. This webinar will describe basic categories of chronic non-cancer pain in HIV-infected patients, list key drug-drug interactions for chronic non-cancer pain in HIV clinical settings including pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, and describe the role of urine toxicology to monitor adherence in chronic pain treatments.
