The AETC Program's interprofessional education (IPE) initiative is a partnership with local health professions schools to support faculty in creating interactive learning environments where students learn to practice using a team-based approach. The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program was an early innovator in team-based care, and the IPE initiative takes these proven approaches to health professions students.
These programs vary by institution, but generally involve participation of schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and other disciplines.
