Join the Midwest AETC for a thought-provoking discussion exploring how Gen Z perspectives, social influences, and attitudes toward sex and healthcare shape conversations around HIV prevention and care. This session will examine skepticism, communication, and strategies for engaging Gen Z in meaningful, culturally responsive HIV education and services.

Objectives

  •  Identify key characteristics, demographic information, and societal influences of Generation Z that shape their attitudes around sexual health and HIV care.
  • Acquire accurate knowledge of Illinois laws regarding sexually transmitted infections and HIV testing, prevention, and treatment for minors.
  • Identify barriers that may prevent Generation Z from seeking HIV care and assess their impact.
  • Describe accessible solutions to promote positive attitudes, behaviors, and discussion around sexual health and HIV with Generation Z.
