Join HIV physician and herbalist Emiliano Lemus for a session on the use of traditional medicine to strengthen our approaches to HIV and STI prevention and care. Emiliano will review the scope and safety of integrative medicine, from both biomedical evidence and traditional wisdom perspectives. In an interactive discussion, we will examine the importance of engaging traditional medicine in working with populations most impacted by HIV, as well as in whole-person care in HIV and STI prevention and treatment. Specific medicinal herbs will be presented as examples throughout the presentation.
