Engagement with adolescents and young adults in health care and prevention in general can be difficult and challenging, but even more so with sexual health and HIV care and prevention. This talk will focus on interventions and strategies that may help to connect youth with the HIV care continuum.

Objectives

Identify and describe barriers that may impede adolescent and young adult engagement in health care and prevention.
Describe strategies that may help engagement focusing on unique issues to this population of people.
Discuss specific interventions to help increase retention into HIV care and access and utilization to PrEP.
