This webinar explores the important role dentists and dental hygienists can play in helping end the HIV epidemic. Moving beyond oral health alone, participants will learn how dental providers can support HIV prevention and care through patient education, stigma-reducing communication, appropriate referrals, and stronger collaboration with medical providers. The session will highlight practical strategies for building trust, using motivational interviewing, and improving care coordination for patients at risk for or living with HIV.

Objectives

including opportunities for patient education and referral.
  • Apply communication best practices, such as motivational interviewing, to
