Join the Southeast AETC for a one-hour virtual learning session designed for professionals working in HIV care and support services. This session will explore the role of emotional resilience approaches in supporting people with HIV who may experience isolation and psychosocial stressors that impact health and well-being. Participants will learn practical strategies to strengthen patient engagement, support emotional coping, and incorporate community and peer resources into client-centered care. This webinar will provide tools to help HIV care teams promote resilience and sustained wellness among the individuals and communities they serve.

Objectives

  • Participants will apply principles to recognize psychosocial stressors affecting people with HIV and differentiate common stress responses from symptoms associated with clinical depression or anxiety.
  • Participants will demonstrate the ability to support clients using at least two evidence-informed cognitive-behavioral or mindfulness-based strategies that promote coping, emotional resilience, and reduced impact of HIV-related isolation.
  • Participants will develop client-centered care plans that incorporate peer support, community resources, and social connection to promote sustained mental wellness among people with HIV.
