Oral health is essential to overall health, especially for communities with limited access to care. The Florida Department of Health invites medical and dental professionals to participate in Oral Health 2.0, a live, virtual, team-based learning experience designed to strengthen prevention, improve coordination, and advance public health across Florida.

Objectives

  • Effective communication, teach-back, and motivational interviewing
    techniques
  • Development and sequencing of comprehensive, patient-centered treatment
    plans
  • Identification of medical, behavioral, lifestyle, and social factors that influence
    care
  • Prevention, early intervention, disease control, and maintenance planning
  • Interprofessional collaboration and coordinated referral workflows between
    medical and dental teams
