Description

Join the Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center for an engaging and impactful presentation on HIV 101.

Objectives

Describe the epidemiology, transmission routes, and natural progression of HIV infection in the United States.
Explain the principles of HIV prevention and treatment, including routine screening recommendations, antiretroviral therapy (ART), U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable), and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
Identify strategies to reduce stigma and improve culturally responsive, patient-centered care for people living with or at risk for HIV.
