Join the Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center for an engaging and impactful presentation on HIV 101.

Objectives

  • Describe the epidemiology, transmission routes, and natural progression of HIV infection in the United States.
  • Explain the principles of HIV prevention and treatment, including routine screening recommendations, antiretroviral therapy (ART), U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable), and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
  • Identify strategies to reduce stigma and improve culturally responsive, patient-centered care for people living with or at risk for HIV.
