Join the Southeast AETC for an engaging and impactful presentation regarding Perinatal HIV. This virtual presentation brings together healthcare professionals to build knowledge, strengthen skills, and empower communities in addressing the intersecting challenges of HIV and Hepatitis C. 

Objectives

  • Describe the epidemiology and clinical implications of hepatitis B and hepatitis C co-infection among pregnant individuals with HIV.
  • Explain current screening, monitoring, and treatment recommendations for managing hepatitis B and hepatitis C during pregnancy in individuals with HIV, including considerations for antiretroviral therapy selection.
  • Identify strategies to reduce perinatal transmission of HIV and viral hepatitis, including appropriate maternal management, delivery planning, and infant follow-up care.
