Join the South Central AETC for an engaging session exploring men’s sexual health as part of comprehensive HIV care and healthy aging. This webinar will address sexual health considerations beyond viral suppression and highlight strategies for supporting quality of life, well-being, and patient-centered care among men aging with HIV.
Objectives
- Identify the role of testosterone and other hormonal changes in sexual health, energy, mood, body composition, bone health, and overall quality of life among people living with HIV, particularly long-term survivors and those aging with HIV.
- Recognize common signs, symptoms, and risk factors associated with low testosterone and other sexual health concerns in people living with HIV, and discuss appropriate approaches to screening, assessment, referral, and treatment.
- Describe how long-term HIV infection, aging, antiretroviral therapy, comorbidities, and psychosocial factors can intersect to affect sexual health and overall wellness, and identify strategies to support comprehensive, person-centered care for people aging with HIV.
