- Identify traditional and HIV specific cardiovascular risk factors, including antiretroviral therapy–related effects, when assessing adult patients with HIV in outpatient HIV care settings.
- Apply current ACC/AHA and DHHS guidelines for cardiovascular risk stratification, using validated risk calculators.
- Select appropriate lipid lowering and non statin therapies for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease in people with HIV.
