Join the Northeast/Caribbean AETC to review New Jersey’s efforts to end the HIV epidemic by 2025 and highlight the importance of opt-out HIV testing in primary/outpatient care settings. Participants will learn about the state’s progress toward key goals, the value of routine HIV screening, and common barriers and facilitators to implementing opt-out testing.

Objectives

  • Interpret New Jersey’s progress toward ending the HIV epidemic by 2025.
  • Discuss implementing routine opt-out HIV testing to identify persons with undiagnosed HIV.
  • Examine real-world applications of routinized opt-out HIV testing in primary/outpatient care settings.
