Objectives

  • Define the HIV Continuum of Care and its role in monitoring patient HIV health outcomes.
  • Discuss approaches to encourage ART uptake by patients newly diagnosed with HIV.
  • Discuss the role of metrics to monitor HIV engagement and retention in care using existing data.
  • Identify factors that impede retention in HIV care and discuss strategies to promote re-engagement for those lost to care.
