Objectives
- Describe the epidemiology and clinical significance of common Sexually Transmitted Infections in pregnancy among individuals living with HIV, and how co-infections influence maternal health and perinatal transmission.
- Explain the interactions between HIV and specific Sexually Transmitted Infections such as syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, HPV, and HSV, and how these interactions affect transmission risk and clinical management in pregnancy.
- Identify evidence-based screening, treatment, and prevention strategies for managing HIV and co-existing STIs during pregnancy to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
