Join the MidAtlantic AETC to discuss Polypharmacy and Aging with HIV.

Objectives

Define and differentiate polypharmacy and medication regimen complexity and analyze their impact on health outcomes in people aging with HIV
Assess contributing factors to polypharmacy, including comorbid conditions, prescribing cascade, and prescribing inertia
Evaluate medication regimens in people living with HIV by performing comprehensive medication reconciliation and identifying clinically significant drug–drug interactions involving antiretroviral therapy
Apply evidence-based strategies to optimize and simplify medication regimens, including deprescribing algorithms and patient-centered recommendations
