This event focuses on increasing awareness, understanding, engagement and retention of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) as an effective HIV prevention tool for youth and cisgender women. Participants will engage in interactive discussions, educational sessions, and personal storytelling to learn how PrEP can support sexual health and empowerment.

Objectives

  • Identify current PrEP options available and understand their accessibility for youth and cisgender women.
  • Explain the importance of PrEP in supporting sexual health, autonomy, and empowerment.
  • Discuss common myths, misconceptions, and barriers related to PrEP use among youth and cisgender women.
  • Identify strategies and community resources that promote consistent PrEP use and follow-up care.
  • Develop approaches to support peers and communities in sustaining PrEP engagement over time.
