Join the Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center for an engaging and impactful presentation regarding Substance Use Screening and HIV.

Objectives

Describe the role of medication management in addressing substance use disorders among people with HIV, including its impact on retention in care, antiretroviral adherence, and viral suppression.
Identify appropriate pharmacologic treatment options for substance use disorders in people with HIV, including considerations for drug–drug interactions with antiretroviral therapy and strategies to support safe prescribing.
Apply integrated, team-based care approaches to support medication adherence and improve health outcomes in people with HIV and substance use disorders, incorporating harm reduction, patient engagement, and coordination of services.
