During this education, the MAAETC will review HIV 101 information. Including but not limited to, the biology of HIV and how it affects cells in the human body, how HIV can and cannot be transmitted, the progression of HIV with and without ART, common signs and symptoms, stages of HIV, and common opportunistic infections.
