Gregory M. Gauthier has been involved with education throughout his career at the University of Wisconsin, including teaching in the clinic, wards, and classroom. His clinical practice encompasses General Infectious Diseases and HIV/AIDS care at the University of Wisconsin and the William S. Middleton Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital. The University of Wisconsin has recognized Dr. Gauthier for excellence in clinical care in 2012, 2017, and 2022.
Dr. Gauthier completed his undergraduate education at Colby College in Maine with a B.A. in Biology. His medical degree was from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Gauthier began his internship and residency (1999 – 2002) at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, which was followed by clinical (2002 – 2004) and research (2004 – 2006) fellowships at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Gauthier earned his M.S. in Medical Microbiology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison (2006-2009).
