Description

The Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center’s (SE AETC) Ending the HIV Epidemic by Addressing Substance Misuse and Substance Use Disorder in People with HIV : A QuizTime Project will provide 20 questions over the course of four weeks designed to enhance clinicians’ ability to identify the most common substance misuse and substance use disorders that affect PWH; select appropriate initial treatments and interventions for substance misuse and SUD for PWH; and discuss interventions and care services for substance misuse and SUD in PWH.

The standards of care for substance use disorder (SUD) treatment in the U.S. are based on evidence-based practices and guidelines. Key components include ongoing, standardized assessment, individualized treatment planning, levels of care, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), behavioral therapies, peer support, harm reduction strategies, and ongoing recovery support.

Each question allows for 1 reattempt if your first attempt is not correct, and each question expires 48 hours after it is sent. Before the conclusion of the course, you will receive an email containing any questions you have not attempted, and you will have 48 hours from the time the email is sent as a last chance for answering those questions. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a numeric credit code and instructions for texting that to our credit system to claim your credits.
