Objectives
- Describe key components of developmentally appropriate sexual health conversations for youth with or vulnerable to HIV.
- Identify strategies for discussing HIV prevention (including U=U and PrEP) before and after sexual debut.
- Demonstrate approaches to taking inclusive, trauma-informed sexual health histories with adolescents and young adults.
- Explain confidentiality laws and best practices for provider–youth–parent communication in sexual health care.
- Apply practical tools to prepare youth to make informed decisions about relationships, consent, and prevention.
