This webinar will provide an overview on the intersection of aging, cognitive health and substance use disorders (SUD) in older adults. The expert panelists will explore the complexities of this growing public health concern and share practical strategies for adapting screening, assessment, and treatment for older patients with SUDs.

Speakers:

Triveni DeFries, MD, MPH is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she also completed a fellowship in Primary Care Addiction Medicine.

Christy Soran, MD, MPH is the Deputy Medical Director for Substance Use Services for the San Francisco Department of Public Health.

Anna Chodos, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at UCSF in the Division of Geriatrics and the Division of General Internal Medicine.
