PrEP Ready: Utilizing Pharmacists as Prescribers to Expand PrEP Access

This session will be valuable to all PrEP programs, especially those interested in participating in HIV prevention research.

In this session, Dr. Christina Madison, PharmD, FCCP, AAHIVP, will discuss the obstacles pharmacies encounter and share strategies to help them succeed as PrEP/PEP providers. This session will also examine strategies for clinic-pharmacist collaboration to ensure patients receive continuous care and prescription coverage and introduce an implementation tool to help FQHCs expand PrEP/PEP services by integrating pharmacists into their care plans.
