Recovery Support Services Along the Continuum of Substance Use and HIV Treatment

This course is designed to help participants understand the Recovery Support Services available for people with HIV (PWH) and co-occurring substance use disorders (SUDs). Identifying appropriate supports to enhance an individual’s health within and outside of the context of formal treatment services is an essential component of maintaining a focus on recovery. This training offers information and interactive activities to help integrate effective Recovery Support Services at different stages along a continuum of care to improve patient retention and engagement.

  • Specify three examples of activities that build Recovery Capital.
  • Identify two evidence-supported treatment interventions to enhance recovery for PWH and SUDs.
  • Explain two factors that contribute to reduced treatment adherence among PWH and SUD.
