CT HIV Workforce Development Series: Cultural Competency & Awareness

This CME-accredited training will provide an in-depth look at HIV for prevention and care providers.

Training Objectives:

• Learn ways to be reflective and critically conscious of your own social locations, power, and any oppressions you may hold, and recognizing implicit bias.
• Learn how to be reflective in your own cultural constructs and what potential impact there may be when working with stigmatized populations.
• Develop an understanding of intersectionality and the saliency of integrating this framework with stigmatized and marginalized populations.
