Mr. Thompson received his Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Georgetown University. He began his public health career as an innovative outreach worker targeting MSM through online drug-networking portals. As Manager of the Prevention, Education, and Testing Department of an AIDS Service Organization, Mr. Thompson oversaw the management of multiple state and federal grants targeting both substance abuse and HIV prevention and treatment. He has served on multiple boards and committees and currently Co-Chairs the National Quality Forum Infectious Disease Measure Endorsement Committee. He is the 2010 Recipient of the HRSA/HAB Leadership in Quality Award. Our Regional Partner recently joined Kennedy Health Alliance where Mr. Thompson now serves as the Regional Partner Director. Mr. Thompson brings not only national expertise as a Coach for the National Quality Center but also personal experience with health care settings and service delivery as a patient.
