Social media is an integral part of our lives. It is an outlet for connection and learning, but there are downsides. What if you are a victim of harassment, bullying, or trolling? How should we respond to online misinformation and trust in remedies such as herbal cures for HIV? Learn more about the downsides of social media, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you are a victim.

Speaker:

Dr. Matt Zuckerman is an Associate Professor in the Medical Toxicology section of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He has spoken locally and nationally on relevant toxicology topics for emergency medicine physicians. He has an extensive background in social media and digital scholarship, having completed Academic Life in Emergency Medicine fellowship and creating the ToxNow podcast. He is a department champion for medications for opioid use disorder.
