Suicide and Overdose among People with HIV during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Updates and Opportunities for Mitigation

Session 5 of the AETC Program HIV and SARS-CoV-2 Winter Webinar Series (recorded 2/10/21). Presenters discussed overdose death rates throughout the U.S. during COVID-19, identified risk factors for suicidal ideation in people with HIV, identified how COVID-19 impacts the mental health of people with HIV, and reviewed steps providers can take to address overdose risk in people with substance use disorder.
