Harm Reduction Training for Community Health Workers (CHWs) and Recovery Coaches (RCs)

CHWs and RCs are well-positioned to engage in interactions to reduce harm among individuals impacted by HIV. Please join us for this free training series to learn and practice strategies to support wellness by decreasing harm.

This series consists of four 3-hour sessions tailored to the roles of CHW and RC. Workshops are geared towards at-risk and emerging populations and include Safer Drug Use, Harm Reduction for the LGBTQIA+ Community, Harm Reduction for New Arrivals, and Reducing Harm in Commercial Sexual Exploitation. In addition to these virtual sessions, students who complete the training will schedule a time to go to AIDS Project Worcester to participate in Overdose Response/Narcan training.
